This 1950 Hillman Minx four-door sedan is a running-and-driving project that was modified under prior ownership with the installation of a Datsun-sourced inline-four and an automatic transmission from the same carmaker. The car also has been updated with a Subaru front end with rack-and-pinion steering as well as a Datsun rear suspension and axle. Finished in red over tan upholstery, the Hillman is further equipped with a Weber carburetor, an auxiliary electric cooling fan, 14″ steel wheels, hubcaps, trafficators, aftermarket gauges, and seatbelts. The current owner purchased the vehicle in 2012. The brakes do not work, and the steering requires service. This Mark IV Minx project is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature and an Oklahoma title in the owner’s name.
