When Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck went shopping with Emme at Boot Star this weekend, it sparked suspicion that their Halloween costumes would be western-themed.
When Jennifer Lopez, 53, and Ben Affleck, 50, and their daughter Emme, 14, visited a western-themed shop over the weekend, they were in the mood for the country. The married couple appeared to try on numerous cowboy hats at Boot Star, and at one point, Jennifer was even seen assisting Emme in choosing a red western-style shirt that complemented a pair of red cowboy boots, as shown here. It was rumored that at least one of the three of them would be dressing up as a cowboy for Halloween because they all appeared relaxed and content to be in the store.
Jennifer had her long hair pulled back into a low ponytail for the occasion and wore a white long-sleeved top with matching leggings. Emme wore a black sweatshirt with jeans, while Ben wore a gray sweater over a white top and black slacks. They all appeared to be quite intent on selecting the best stuff, paying little attention to the outside cameras.
Before their most recent shopping adventure, a source told us that Ben has been assisting Jennifer by spending time with their blended family, which also includes her son Max, 14, and his three daughters, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, while she is busy with her successful acting career. He has been driving them to their destinations and assisting them with their needs, including their schoolwork. The source EXCLUSIVELY revealed that “Ben has really been stepping up with the kids, driving them where they need to go and helping with their homework.”
The source added, “He’s really focused on being the best family man; it’s a role he loves. Any free time he has, he’s with the kids and Jennifer. The couple, who tied the knot earlier this year, have been remodeling her $28 million Bel Air home so they may reclaim it once it is finished with the children. According to reports, the pleased parents even let the kids use their own creativity to construct their own rooms.
A source previously told that “it was Ben’s idea to stay in J.Lo’s house and refurbish it because that house, to them, feels right. They are comfortable there and so are the kids. It held past memories for J.Lo, which is one of the reasons she wanted to leave in the first place. But a fresh remodel and all new furniture, as well as an addition and an expansion of the master bedroom to accommodate both of them, is going to allow them to feel like they are having a fresh start in their dream home.”
