Kevin Harold Maki, 65, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully on December 30th, 2025 with his wife by his side.He was born on July 5th, 1960 to Sandra Lee Albiston (Linnell) and Phillip John Maki in Grand Marais, MN.Kevin graduated from Denfeld High School in 1978. He then became an Ironworker with the Ironworkers Local 563 and eventually ended up at New Page Recycle Mill where he retired.He married the love of his life, Gina, on February 17th, 2001. They spent their time camping, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends on Long Lake.Kevin is survived by his wife of 24 years, Gina. His daughters Jen (Dave) Hoodie and Samantha (Phil) Schweikert. Step children Cory (Jess) Kuchta and Candice Cerio. Grandchildren Aaron, Dave Jr., Iden, Maylee, Lily, Jayden, Audri, and Cade. Father Phillip Maki.
Brothers Kent Johnson, Brent (Heather) Albiston, and sister Sonja Maki Gruwell. Also, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.He is preceded in death by his mother Sandra and sister Kim Maki. Stepdad Bob Albiston. Stepmom Nadine Maki.Kevin will be dearly missed by his Sweet Pea. Fish on, Big Mac!Celebration of Life will be held at Mr. D’s large banquet room on January 31st, 2026 from 1-5 pm.
