This 1977 Jaguar XJ6C was purchased by the current owner in 2000 and underwent a refurbishment that was completed around 2010. Its 4.2-liter inline-six is from a Jaguar E-type and was bored .020″ over and fitted with Mk X triple SU carburetors, and the engine is mated to a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission. The cylinder head and the radiator came from a Series 3 XJ6, the front seats and the steering rack were sourced from a Jaguar XJS, and the 17″ aluminum wheels are from an XJR. The engine is further complemented by a TJP-25 camshaft, Crane Cams electronic ignition, a custom cold-air intake, dual auxiliary electric cooling fans, and an aluminum flywheel. Other features include a louvered hood, a sunroof, walnut interior trim, a Pioneer cassette stereo, a Nardi steering wheel, and automatic climate control as well as four-wheel disc brakes, Addco sway bars, polyurethane suspension bushings, and a custom shock-tower brace. The current owner has driven the vehicle more than 140k miles.
This modified Series II XJ6 coupe is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner with refurbishment photos, Jaguar Journal magazines featuring the car, and a clean Maryland title in the owner’s name.
